Spyware, Adware, & Virus Problems

If you are like most people on the internet, you've seen the popups that slow your computer down and just really piss you off. The cause for most of these popups is called SPYWARE or ADWARE, but sometimes are also normal computer VIRUSES.

SPYWARE is software used by the creator to steal information off of your computer. This software leads to a slower computer and much more important - IDENTIFY THEFT. When you type information on your computer the spyware is logging it and sending it back to the creator. This information can be your credit card information, banking records, or internet website passwords.

ADWARE is used by advertisers to try and make money. Advertisers pay people that make adware to host their ads on their program. The program then pops up these ads for you to click on, making the adware creator a profit, and possibly the advertiser a sale.

VIRUSES are programs that harm your computer and can make it inoperable. These have been around for a very long time and most people are familiar with them.

How do you get rid of SPYWARE, ADWARE, & VIRUSES? I have a very good solution to getting rid of spyware, adware, and viruses that I have used for over a year. My computer has been clean since then and still is, and it acts just like it did when I got it out of the box. Most people like to use Norton products, but the truth is Norton is not the greatest spyware, adware, or virus detector. All of Norton's products take up alot of system resources and are very slow.

I use 2 different programs. NOD32 is the best anti-virus software available on the market today. It has beaten Norton Anti-virus in almost every test. Now for spyware I use software called PestPatrol. PestPatrol is an excellent piece of software that removes all of the spyware & adware from your computer, only needing a restart after deleting them.

PREVENTION: Most spyware and adware is made for Microsoft Internet Explorer because it is the most popular browser. Internet Explorer has ActiveX turned on by default which has a lot of exploits that lets spyware creators install spyware on your computer without your knowledge. There is another browser called MOZILLA FIREFOX that a lot of people like that has less exploits and a built in pop-up blocker among other great features. Adware and Spyware are not normally made for Mozilla Firefox, so it is a safer browser to use. I personally use it and I feel that it is way better then Internet Explorer.

STICK WITH IT: Don't just scan your computer one time with NOD32 & PestPatrol and think that your computer is going to be safe. You have to scan for spyware & adware religiously everyday. Scan your computer with PestPatrol every day when you first use the computer. Scan for viruses with NOD32 every week. NOD32 has a live scanner that scans every file that is being used on your computer so you don't need to scan everyday, but if you feel the need to, then go ahead.
